Occasionally on The Friday Zone we’ll meet a family who has come to Indiana from another country. They’ll tell us about their daily life, share some of their family traditions, and describe what life was like where they used to live. Let’s celebrate the diversity of our community in The Family Zone!

Meet a Family From Mexico

Luz, Claudia, and Gonzalo live in Bloomington. They moved here from Puebla, Mexico about two and a half years ago.

Claudia says that the desks at her school in Mexico were bigger than her desk at school in Bloomington.

Everyone in the family misses good Mexican tacos with fresh tortillas and cilantro.

The language of Mexico is Spanish. Everyone in this family speaks Spanish and English!
