On The Friday Zone…

Snow Day!

It’s a SNOW DAY here in the zone! That’s right, even if this Indiana weather is not producing any snow; we are chilly here in the zone! Did you know that the average winter temperature here in Indiana ranges from 17 to 35 degrees? But up north in the arctic circle, the average temperature is negative 30!

Minus 30 degree temperatures does not bother our first guests. We are going to introduce you to a couple of sled dogs and their owner Finney Aufderheyde to tell us a little about their trip up North to the Iditarod each year.

We will also be learning about the properties of Liquid Nitrogen with the help of our friends at Wonderlab Museum in our HANDS ON ZONE.

Our Field Host Gabby will take us on a trip to Paoli Peaks as new skiers and snowboarders hit the slopes in the Snow Monsters Program.

We will also get to meet some interesting arctic animals on our Zone Investigation. So join us in the Zone for a fun filled snow day!
