On The Friday Zone

Season's Eatings

December 19, 2008

If you have ever wondered how candy canes are made, then this is the show for you! Come join us during a Zone Investigation as we visit the Martinsville Candy Kitchen, a sweet destination in downtown Martinsville, and take a closer look at how candy cane making has become a labor of love. After watching Mr. Badger and his lovely assistant Diane Wehr, we are sure that you will have a new appreciation for the time and effort that goes into creating a half batch of hand-twisted candy canes. Then, we are off and running to the Allison-Jukebox Community Center to participate in the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department’s Eighth Annual Candy Cane Hunt. Several Brownies from Troop #58 will join Katie in The Zone. as they decorate gingerbread houses constructed of graham crackers. You will also learn how to make a lasting gingerbread ornament out of a household item – sandpaper! It is all on the next episode of The Friday Zone.
