On The Friday Zone

The Sleep Over Zone

August 10, 2007

A Friday Zone sleepover.Do you think you would be able to throw your own slumber party without your parents’ help? Well, this week in The Friday Zone we challenged two kids, Ann and James, to give it a try.

First they visited with their party planner, Kevin, from Oogles and Googles in Indianapolis. He taught them everything that’s involved in party planning.

They came up with a theme, made a guest list, created the invitations, decided on a menu, and even planned all of the activities themselves.

Ann threw a Pop Diva Dance slumber party with her girlfriends, while James threw an Indoor Campout sleepover with his boys. They turned out great, and both kids along with their guests will be in The Zone to share their expertise with you.

We will also hear from Elaine Finley, a professional event planner for the Indiana University President’s Office, who will provide tips on throwing a great party.

Also, join us as we explore the famous slumber party snack, popcorn, in The Science Zone. We will see why and how popcorn kernels pop, and discover how it is different than corn on the cob.

We hope you join us this week as we prepare you to throw your own sleepover in The Friday Zone.
