Echo learns of navigation technology.Join Echo and kids as they explore navigation technology. They’ll start with hybrid cars. Why are they making hybrid automobiles and how do they work? Professor Yaobin Chen will be on hand to answer those questions. We’ll also have an actual hybrid car in the studio, so you can have a great view of the inner-workings of the vehicle.

Navigation technology also includes GPS. Do you know what GPS is? A Global Positioning System was created by the military years ago. These satellites orbit the earth and with the help of a receiver, can tell you exactly where you are on this planet.

Professor Michael Hamburger will show us how the GPS works. Echo and the gang will even play a little game to see how it can be a handy part of a child’s life. Buckle your seatbelt as we navigate our way through this special Friday Zone.
