Peppermint Steamers

PEPPERMINT STEAMERS

Makes 4 cups

4 cups of milk
8 tsp of sugar
4 tsp of butter
4 tsp of vanilla
2 pinches of salt
4 peppermint candy canes
4 peppermint candy canes crushed
Whipped cream
4 peppermint patties whole
1 cup of peppermint patties (broken into small pieces)

STEAMER MIXTURE.
• Add milk, sugar, butter and salt in a sauce pan. Heat on stove over low heat. Once the steamer is warm, add 4 peppermint patties and stir to melt. Heat until the mixture is hot, but not boiling.

PEPPERMINT MUGS
• Finely crush 4 peppermint candy canes in a zipper plastic bag. Next, spread crushed peppermints on paper.

• Dip the tops of 4 mugs into warm water. While still wet, dip the mugs into the crushed peppermint, making a trim around the mug.

• Add ¼ cup of broken patties into the bottom of each mug.

COMBINE
• Pour steamer into mugs.
• Top off with whipped cream
• Sprinkle crushed candy canes over whipped cream
• Add a whole candy cane to the drink for decoration.
