Action Figure Parachute
Equipment You Will Need:
- Umbrella
- Cord
- 2 Cable ties (or garbage ties)
- 2 Paper clips
- Favorite action figure
Tools You Will Need:
- Scissors
- Screw driver or nail
Instructions:
- Remove fabric canopy from umbrella
* remove plastic cap at top of umbrella
* cut fabric around the outer edges of umbrella. Avoid cutting holes in umbrella, if possible.
* Snip remaining threads on inner sections of umbrella to completely remove umbrella from frame.
- Cut a hole at the top center of the canopy about 2 inches in diameter.
- Poke a small hole through each of the 6 canopy corners (some umbrellas have 8 corners), big enough for a rope to go through. You can use a screwdriver or nail.
- Cut 6 pieces of cord - 40 inches in length
- Attach cord to each corner of canopy and make a knot.
- Separate the cords into two groups of three. Tie a knot at about 35 inches from the tie. (make sure you line up the cords at the top so they are even when tied at the bottom)
- Attach a large paper clip to each of the tied cords
- Attach cable tie to the wrists of your action figure
- Hook the paperclip that attached to the cords to the cable ties on the action figure.
* Make sure the cords are not tangled together before attaching.
- Once the action figure is attached, it is ready to fly.
- You’ll need to drop it from about 15 feet in the air to see the full effects of the parachute.
