Spooky Spider
Supplies You Will Need:
- Gallon plastic milk jug
- Black duct tape
- 8 3-ft. black foam pipe insulation tubes (1/2-inch diameter)
- 2 plastic Easter eggs
- Green construction paper
Instructions:
- Cover the jug completely with black duct tape.
- To create the spider’s 8 legs, you will need to tape one end of each pipe insulation tube on the jug. The jug’s handle should be the center, and you should tape 4 tubes on each side.
- With scissors, cut and remove a triangle from the middle of each leg. Make sure you don’t cut all the way through your insulation.
- Bend the insulation tubes inward at the triangles and tape the bent joints in place to make the spider’s legs bend.
- Use half of a plastic Easter egg as the spider’s eye. To complete the eye, cut ½ inch strip of duct tape. Cut that strip in half. Place each ½-inch x ½-inch square on each of the plastic egg-halves.
- Tape the plastic egg-halves to the spider using duct tape. They should be taped near the jug’s lid and on the opposite side of the jug where the legs are.
- Decorate the top of the spider body with the green construction paper. Tape construction paper onto the body with duct tape. They should be taped on the opposite side of the jug where the legs are.
- The spider is now ready for you to hang.
