1. Rack Attack - decorative racks used to hang or display items
o using a 4’ X 4 wooden board, paint or cover with contact paper, add hooks or simple shelves and adorn with your favorite objects for display.
2. Behind the Curtains - create no-sew curtains.
o Select your favorite fabric. Create a hem for the curtain rod and hem to finish off the bottom of curtain. Instead of sewing, use iron on fabric adhesive.
3. Window To The World - create a pretend window on a wall.
o Combine four wooden picture frames. Use wood glue to attach the four frames (2 across and 2 down). Glue a poster (either store bought or homemade) behind the frames to give a window effect. Attach to the wall by hanging from nails

o Use cardboard tubes found in hardware stores. These tubes are used for concrete columns. You will need mom or dad to cut the long tubing into 12 inch pieces. Stack to create storage cubbies where you can put shoes, small toys, books, etc.

o use wooden board and cover with fabric or paint
o use unusual objects such as fence posts or dressing screen
o use fabric curtains and hang from your wall to create a window-like headboard.
8. The Sky Is Falling - hang decorative items from the ceiling.
o Canopies - requires a hula-hoop, approximately 10 yards of tulle fabric, and a hook. Drape long, wide strips of fabric through the rings of the hoop, so that the ends reach from the ceiling to the bed. Fabric strips should be placed on all sides. Tie strings of yarn to hula hoop on four opposite sides. With the other end of the four strings, tie them together to hang from the ceiling. Screw hook into ceiling and hang canopy from yarn strings.
9. Funky Fabrics - use a cool fabric to dress up pre-existing pieces.
o skirt a vanity, make no-sew pillows, or jazz up a bedspread with iron on transfers of art, tie-die.
