Pumpkin Shell Pie

Get 6 Little Jack mini pumpkins

Have an adult cut off the top about an inch down.

Then, scoop out the seeds so you have a little pumpkin bowl.

Set the pumpkin bowls and lids aside.

In a large bowl, whisk these ingredients together to make the pie batter:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 of a 16 oz. can of pumpkin filling
  • 3 tbsp. molasses
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • pinch of ground ginger
  • pinch of allspice

Use a pastry brush to brush the inside of the pumpkin bowls with a little additional honey.

Then, use a cup to scoop the batter into the pumpkin bowls. Fill the bowls until they’re almost full.

Put the pumpkin bowls in a baking dish with enough room so that they don’t touch each other.

Have an adult help you put the pies into the oven and bake at 350° for 40 minutes.

Serve with our without the lids, and add cream topping if you like!
